Dr. ED for Good Governance?

The University of Zambia (UNZA) plans to confer Honorary Doctorates in Good Governance to its former students President Edgar Lungu and his Zimbabwean counterpart Emmerson Mnangagwa.

UNZA’s next graduation ceremony is scheduled for June 22 with both Lungu and Mnangagwa expected to be in attendance in addition to a K950 (US$72) alumni dinner that will be held the next day at the Mulungushi International Centre in Lusaka.
Lungu and Mnangagwa became friends whilst they were law students at the University of Zambia in the 1970’s almost 50 years later they will be reunited at their former university to get honorary PhD’s in Good Governance.
The question on everyone’s mind is do they deserve these PhD’s?
